Hi Folks! Welcome back to you all. I hope you had a safe and enjoyable holiday season and that you are sticking to those resolutions. I must congratulate the committee on organising such a great Xmas break up day for us all. Good to see a large number of |

Children participating on the day. Thank you also to Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule to join us. Thanks to those that lent a hand on the day. The club is looking forward to another busy year and we are sure everyone will assist us in our endeavour to continue to make the club an enjoyable and fun place to spend a Sunday afternoon/evening at. The Guest Artists continue to be a great success and members are taking advantage of the workshop days to learn new songs. The A.G.M. is fast approaching so if you would like to join this great committee we have at present please let one of us know that you would like to be nominated. That is about all from me. Take care and we will see you at the next club day.

We have set a date for this years A.G.M. so put the date on your calendar. I will print it in each newsletter so you will not forget. It will be the 22nd April at 4pm sharp. Any remits MUST be in by April 2nd. It will follow the normal format, A.G.M. to be followed by a Pot Luck Tea then on to club after. The other reminder is ALL memberships must be paid prior to the A.G.M. or you will not have voting rights. You can renew memberships from now on.
Our Club had another very successful day at the R.S.A. last month. These are growing each time we appear down there, a huge crowd arrived. Congratulations to Isla Johnson for winning the basket, she was delighted and we feel it went to a very worthy member. We have another day there on the 29th April so keep that free. Our guest artist was Allan Webster from Australia and he did an awesome bracket of numbers, thanks for coming back Allan!!
On to something more light hearted, we have chosen some themes for night clubs. February 26th will be a pre 1960s song, the following month 25th March will be post 1980s song. For the latter it must be a song that is post 1980 not the singer whom you have heard singing it. Please get into the swing with us as we are doing our very best to bring a little bit of fun into our evenings. If you have any ideas you would like us to consider please let us know as we struggle sometimes to come up with a theme that everyone will like. It is your club and we welcome any input you may have.
If you have any info on other clubs or have been visiting please let me know and I can add something to our newsletter. Good to hear what is happening out there.
To any of our members who are not very well just now, we wish you a speedy recovery, special thoughts go out to Sam Smith and Ron Whitehead. We think of you often and those who are caring for you.
